Petal Picking: I love my job, not so much, I love my job, not so much...

This blog is meant to be an account of the daily events of my college internship and a floriculture educational tool. And as much as I want this to focus on the floral industry and the advantages of real world work experience that are offered through participating in an internship, I have a feeling it might become a slightly comical view into my personal life as a tree huggin', plant lovin', flower pickin', dirt diggin' horticulturist... I'll let you be the judge.

Saturday Feb. 12th - Delighted Daisy

Yeaaaa! My first bridal show!  Quite a few vendors packed themselves into the Century House in Latham.  It is a nice, if quaint, venue.  Many brides wandered through seeking out the right professionals to make their special day perfect.
I wandered through seeking free cupcakes, and instead stumbled upon free manicures (along with a wedding consultation, uh-oh Brett, looks like if you want that mani – you are going to have to play hubby-to-be, hehehe)  and duck quackers.  Yes, duck quackers… the duck boats of the Hudson river in Albany are apparently a popular way to spend part of your wedding, who knew?!  So the sound ducks competed with the disc jockeys advertising their spinning skills.  Makes for quite an interesting ruckus.
