Petal Picking: I love my job, not so much, I love my job, not so much...

This blog is meant to be an account of the daily events of my college internship and a floriculture educational tool. And as much as I want this to focus on the floral industry and the advantages of real world work experience that are offered through participating in an internship, I have a feeling it might become a slightly comical view into my personal life as a tree huggin', plant lovin', flower pickin', dirt diggin' horticulturist... I'll let you be the judge.

My apologies! Neglectful Daisy says "Hi" again

Ooppsies!  I do believe i have not posted anything in a whole month!  Life sure does take advantage when it can.  My lack of posting is like not fertilizing your garden for an entire season, which = NO GOOD!  So here it is... the entire past month inside Experience and Creative Design, Ltd.

Here are some more displays I worked on or had the pleasure of watching the display be created.  It will give you an idea of what the store front looks like.  We cleared out winter... which meant vacuuming up all the "snow" and in came spring, which meant putting leaves back on the "trees".  All of this was in preparation for the incoming spring season (which I do believe we jinxed, because it is almost May.... and spring has yet to arrive!) and our Spring Open House, a week long event held in the first week in April.

This was on average a 7 petal week.  It was fun to see the store transform and change, but it was sometimes frustrating to finagle piecing the displays together.
